Hints and Pops

Well, I did say that it wouldn’t be the last redesign that level 1 saw! This month saw level 1 redesigned to be larger and involve a lot more walking. I wanted to convey how small Algae is at this stage compared to the rest of the world. This makes it more of a platformer than puzzler but I think I’m OK with that, although Dave is less sure.

We’ve added hints in, which should help players get acquainted to the controls. The UI for this needs a massive overhaul, but it gets the point across so it’ll do for now.

Chris has provided a nice stretch and pop sound for cloning, which I particularly like (and goes down a treat with my 1 year old!).
